F-150 Lightning Performance, Range, and Charging

The F-150 Lightning offers a choice of two battery sizes to feed its two in-board electric motors. Standard Range models (98-kWh battery pack) generate a strong 426 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, with an EPA-estimated 230 miles of range. The available 131-kWh Extended Range battery boosts horsepower to a prodigious 563 and range to a healthy 320 miles.

A full charge (15-100%) with standard Level 2 equipment takes about 20 hours for Standard Range models and 14 hours for Extended Range models, which equip a dual onboard charger for faster refills. For faster at-home charging, the available 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro-standard with the Extended Range battery-allows the F-150 Lightning's onboard charger to reach 19.2 kW of peak charging power, reducing charge times to ~8 and 10 hours for the Extended and Standard Range batteries, respectively. It is recommended to keep the battery's charge between 15% and 90% for everyday driving to prolong its lifespan.

On longer road trips, the F-150 Lightning supports 150kW+ DC fast-charging, which can refill either battery from 15 to 80% capacity in under 45 minutes.

Pro Power OnBoard and Ford Intelligent Backup Power

The F-150 Lightning takes truck versatility to the next level, with the ability to offload stored energy at up to 9.6 kW to power your workday. With 11 convenient 120V and 240V outlets throughout the truck, you can plug in and charge power tools, run appliances, and charge other EVs (requires aftermarket adapter-sold by Parkworld P/N 691944Y). And with available Ford Intelligent Backup Power and the 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro, the F-150 Lightning can even run a full household during a blackout for up to three days on a full charge, or more if power is rationed.

Mega Power Frunk

Moving with motors at the wheels and the battery under the floor, the F-150 frees up room under the hood, further enhancing its practicality. The washable and drainable 14.1-cubic-foot Mega Power Frunk has a 400-pound payload capacity and is sealed to protect your gear from the elements. It also features four standard 120-volt power outlets and a mix of USB-A and C ports, giving you a total of 2.4 kW of exportable power.

Tech and Safety

The F-150 Lightning's crew cab is spacious and inviting, with modern design details, comfortable passenger accommodations, and lots of small-item storage. There's plenty of screen real estate on the dash, including a 12-inch digital gauge cluster and 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with Ford's next-gen SYNC® 4 OS and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Lariat and Platinum models equip an extra-large 15.5-inch SYNC® 4A touchscreen and Enhanced Voice Rection.
