The heavy-duty powertrain equipment for the GT500 incorporates a ready to rumble 540 horsepower V8 engine that includes 5.4L and 32 valves of supercharged and intercooled raw energy. The braking system consists of 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS and Brembo front rotors and calipers. Both the coupe and the convertible come equipped with Tremec 6-speed manual transmission.
The interior treats you to all of the comforts, necessities, and luxuries that Mustang enthusiasts could want. These include Sirius Satellite radio, a Shaker 500 Audio System that comes with an AM/FM stereo with a 6 CD player; 8-speakers and MP3 Capability, and a six gauge brushed aluminum instrument cluster with a transposed speedometer; tachometer; and SVT graphics. You'll also enjoy cruise control, power door locks, leather sport bucket seats with racing stripes, a 6-way power adjustable driver's Seat with power lumbar and a 2-way adjustable headrest, manual climate control, two covered cupholders, and a rear window defroster for those cold mornings. AdvanceTrac can sense wheel slip and reduce engine torque and apply the selected brakes to prevent your vehicle from getting out of control.
